Afternoon Tea with Lisa Cutts and William Shaw

WestgateLit is proud to announce that an Afternoon Tea with authors Lisa Cutts and William Shaw will be held at 3pm on Saturday 30^th March 2019 in the Function Room, Town Hall Buildings, St Mildred’s Road, Westgate-on-Sea, CT8 8RE (above the Carlton Cinema).

This unique event offers the opportunity to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea with Lisa and William as they talk about their careers as authors. Afterwards there will be time for questions and to buy autographed copies of their books.

Lisa Cutts is a full-time detective constable investigating murders for a living. She writes with her insider knowledge from the heart of the incident room. She is the author of the DC Nina Foster series, Never Forget which was the winner of the Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award 2014 and Remember, Remember. Mercy Killing was published in 2016 and is the first in a new series of East Rise Incident Room crime novels and features some new characters together with a few more familiar ones. The second in the series, Buried Secrets was released in 2017 and the third, Lost Lives was released in November 2018.

William Shaw is the author of Salt Lane which launched a new series featuring DI Alex Cupidi whose first appearance was in The Birdwatcher, set in Kent and Northern Ireland. Amongst his other work is the Breen and Tozer series which launched with A Song from Dead Lips, followed by A House of Knives and A Book of Scars. Of the fourth in the series, Sympathy for The Devil, the Daily Mail said, ‘Shaw goes from strength to strength, while making it all seem effortless.’ Before writing crime, William was a music journalist and the author of several non-fiction books including Westsiders: Stories of the Boys in the Hood and A Superhero For Hire.

Tickets are priced at £17 per head and include a full afternoon tea. Prosecco will also be available for purchase as an extra special touch! Spaces are limited so early booking is strongly advised and please advise of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Please note that the function room is reached by stairs so may not be suitable for those with restricted mobility.
