An audience with Jo Spain and William Shaw

Authors Jo Spain and William Shaw are heading to Jarrow Focus Library to talk about their writing career.

Jo Spain’s first novel, With Our Blessing, was one of seven books shortlisted in the Richard and Judy Search for a Bestseller competition. Her first psychological thriller, The Confession, was a no.1 bestseller in Ireland and has been optioned for TV. Jo has also just completed writing a TV series called Taken Down, which will air on RTE One in November. Her new book is titled Dirty Little Secrets.

William Shaw is the author of the Breen & Tozer crime series set in sixties London: A Song from Dead Lips, A House of Knives and A Book of Scars; and the standalone The Birdwatcher. For over twenty years he has written on popular culture and sub-culture for various publications including the Observer and the New York Times. His new novel is called Salt Lane.
