Crawley Wordfest: Dorothy Koomson, Lesley Thomson and William Shaw (chaired by Julia Crouch)

£4In collaboration with Crawley WordFest and following the success of our 2019 panel featuring Elly Griffiths, Quentin Bates and Carolyn Kirby, West Sussex Libraries are delighted to be hosting another crime panel event in 2020. This year’s panel includes Dorothy Koomson, William Shaw and Lesley Thomson, chaired by Julia Crouch.
About the authors
Dorothy Koomson is the bestselling author of fifteen novels, including My Best Friend’s Girl, The Ice Cream Girls and The Brighton Mermaid. Her latest novel Tell Me Your Secret follows two women in a hunt for serial killer The Blindfolder: Pietra, who escaped the Blindfolder after being kidnapped ten years ago, and Jody, a policewoman who made a terrible mistake that resulted in the killer escaping justice.
William Shaw is the author of The Birdwatcher, the DS Alex Cupidi series and the Breen and Tozier series. The Birdwatcher was longlisted for the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year, while his other books have been nominated for a Barry Award, the Golden Bullet and the CWA Historical Dagger.
Lesley Thomson is the author of ten crime novels, with an eleventh being released in May 2020. She is the author of the number one bestselling series The Detective’s Daughter and has won several industry awards including Sainsburys eBook for 2014 with Ghost Girl and The People’s Book Prize in 2010 for A Kind of Vanishing.
Julia Crouch, our panel chair, is the author of five crime novels, including The Long Fall, Every Vow You Break and Her Husband’s Lover. Julia has experience in theatre directing, playwriting, graphic design and illustration, and wrote her first published book Cuckoo as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).
This event will be followed by a book sale and signing with the authors.
