Writing the land: Dungeness
August 22, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeA free workshop on writing the landscape, focusing on Dungeness.
I write a series of books set at Dungeness; I’m starting a new one this August. Going to Dungeness helps me figure out what I’m going to write.
Please come with me to explore how we write about a landscape and – just as importantly – how we allow the landscape to create stories for us.
The workshop is free; however an optional £5 donation to Dungeness Open Studios on the day for allowing us to use their space would be welcome. Places are strictly limited, so PLEASE only book a place if you can make it there on the day. And if for any reason you can’t make it, please let us know!
Bring a packed lunch, something to write with and some walking shoes.
We’ll spend some of our time exploring the place, and some time writing too.
Tickets are free but you must book using the link below; a £7.00 ticket means you’ll also get a signed copy of Salt Lane, set in Dungness; a £12 ticket means you get signed copies of Salt Lane and The Birdwatcher.
